It will not submit the enable command to enter enable mode. The FWSM is using 4.0.6 in multiple context mode. I'm also using Expect 5.43 which I understand should also have the timeout patch installed. I've already checked the mail logs and it appears as though no mail was generated by rancid. Unfortunately I've already had to run Rancid again so checking the version numbers now would not be very helpful. I did however notice that the version numbers for our routers never changed by more than 1 even though rancid ran twice between emails so the changes were probably not committed. As I mentioned previously, now that I have manually done a rancid-run it will continue to work for a few days before it breaks. Once this problem crops up again (probably in the next 2 days) I will check version numbers to see if any changes were committed. When it quits it does not do it after any sequence such as \n it can be right in the middle of a config line when it happens. It can happen on different lines at times so this to me points to some kind of timeout. It doesn't quite count as an svn viewer, but i use Observium [1] as my web front-end to RANCID. It only gives the current config, rather than the history, but it does it in such a way that it's integrated with all the other info that Observium knows about the device (e.g. port stats, CPU utilisation, etc.).
